BentoBots

Hello again strangers!

It seems like so long since I last posted, ok it is a long time since I last posted.

Let’s forget that and get to the good stuff, BentoBots!IMG_6237.JPG

BentoBots is a new lunch system that is currently in it’s funding stage on Kickstarter, and honestly it’s one of the cooler lunch systems I’ve seen, so much so that it is the first project I have backed on Kickstarter.

Other than the fact the lunch system itself looks awesome it also comes with magazines to help teach children healthy eating habits in a fun way that they will remember.

I mean which would you be more likely to remember, “Carrots are good for you because they contain vitamin A” or “Carrots are good for you because they help give you strength to beat the evil fast food bad guys?” I know which one I would’ve preferred as a kid (and an adult).IMG_6238.JPG

What I also like is that there are three different robots, or styles of lunchbox and carry case. I also like that they aren’t gender specific. These lunches would be great for boys or girls and I’m sure even some adults will love them too. I certainly do and wouldn’t feel silly walking around with them!

But anyway why are you listening to me, get over there and check out the BentoBots for yourselves, I’m sure you’ll want one for yourself too!

Oh!Bento UK’s second blogiversary!!!

Today is my second blogiversary!

And while I am extremely happy to have made it this far I am a little sad that I have let my bento making slip recently.

Sadly life has thrown a lot of things my way, such as not being able to eat anything other than Mcdonalds without getting ridiculous stomach pains and other nastiness.

But I will start making bento again soon! Once life has settled a little, I promise.

So please keep your eyes peeled and I hope to be bento making and blogging again soon!

Thank you all and here’s to many more years!!!

Super Simple Salad Bento

I haven’t made a bento in forever!!!

My fridge-freezer broke a few weeks back and due to one reason or another I have been unable to get one.

Sadly I’ve been living off junk which is not only costing a lot it’s not helping my physique in any way.

Luckily the fridge compartment has started to work, in a fashion. So I decided to get some vegetables to combat the weeks of utter junk I have been eating.

Here is the first bento I’ve made in a long time:

But I did manage to squeeze out one last easter bento!!

easter bento 6

Ok so it didn’t look anything like I had planned….but then again I didn’t really plan. I just sort of had an idea and ran with it!

Packed in my is :

  • Mushroom rice
  • Red pepper and radish flowers
  • Quinoa “easter eggs”
  • Broccoli “bush”
  • Egg “chick” with bunny ears and
  • Bunny Pop tarts

If I could do it again I would change the “Chick-pretending-to-be-a-bunny” so he actually looked like a chick!

But hey you can’t get it right every time right?

On a more personal and serious note, I will be living on my own for the first time in my life. It’s a scary prospect and unfortunately I will have to start from scratch in regards to furniture etc so I have set up a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising some money so I can buy some furniture. I would appreciate any donations and if you are unable to donate I would greatly appreciate if you could share the link in hopes of spreading the message.

Thank you!!!
