Sistema Salad To Go Review and Pasta Salad Bento

I was sent this great product to review from Sistema.

This product is called “Salad to go” and is a great little box and would work well with other foods too.

Now to the review!

Cost: 5/5
At around £4.50-£5 this box is well worth the price, you get a lot of space for little cost. ( Asda are selling the product at a sale price of £3!!)

Size: 5/5
At 1.1 litres this box has a lot of space for your food. The main compartment is 750ml with the middle “shelf” having two compartments of 150ml and a sauce pot. This gives the box a very unique feel that is very well suited to pasta dishes, salads, soboro dishes or even Donburi.

Ease Of Use: 3/5
I would love to give this box a 5/5 but as it is only suited to a certain few foods that can be put in the box without the need for order I feel it is only fair to give it a lower score. However if you generally eat salads for lunch this is the box for you!
This box contains it’s own set of collapsible cutlery, in seconds the knife and fork can be snapped together and when lunch is finished can be snapped apart and clipped back to the “shelf” for easy transportation.

The sauce pot allows you to pour the dressing on just before eating keeping the salad crunchy and fresh.

Style: 4/5
A great, unisex box. Being see through this allows multiple people in a household to own and use the boxes without the worry of picking up the wrong box, this is also helped by the differently coloured seals and clips available.

Pros:
• Great for salads, pastas and Donburi.
• Collapsible cutlery that fits in the middle compartment.
• Sauce pot allows for crunchy salads.
• A large box great for big appetites.
• Cheap and readily available.

Cons:
• Not watertight ( seal does reduce leakage to dripping as opposed to gushing )
• “Shelf” doesn’t contain seal which allows for internal spillage.
• As it is deep as opposed to wide or long the box is only suited to food that can be piled or mixed.

As always here is a bento I made to show how food can be packed in this product:

The main “bowl” of the box containing a crunchy salad of lettuce, red cabbage, carrots, sweetcorn, cauliflower and peas.

The “shelf” part of the box containing the sauce pot filled with salad cream mixed with chilli ketchup ( it’s delicious trust me!) , cherry tomatoes, sliced radish, cubed egg with chicken and bacon pasta.

Disclaimer
I received the product to review but no cash was exchanged, my review is my honest opinion and has not been swayed by the company or anyone else.
