Today is A.A Milne’s birthday!!
If you read my teaser post you will know my amazing friend over at Biting The Hand That Feeds You is hosting a linky party to commemorate! So be expecting lots of puns about eating “Pooh”.
Here is my bento to pay homage to the creator of the loveable yellow bear:
I didn’t realise until writing this that it is a vegetarian meal, if they don’t mind eating cheese that is
The meal is made up of cheese and seaweed Pooh’s face on a spicy bed of rice (some being blue to represent the sky), meatless mince and broccoli meant to look like a tree and mixed vegetables for the 100 acre wood floor.
I also included my handmade apple picks to try and make the tree more identifiable as a tree
So go check out all the other great entries and why not have a shot at making your own Winnie the Pooh lunch!

Such a cute Pooh bear!
Thank you so much ^.^
Your Pooh is so cute!
Hehe I doubt sentences like that will get old! Thank you ^.^
Very cute! I like all the colors!
Aww thank you
Your Pooh Bear is adorable and that lunch looks yummy!
Thank you so much! It was actually quite tasty :p
Who WOULDN’T love a little Pooh in their lunch?
That’s awesome! I’m so glad I didn’t attempt to draw my Pooh. You guys would all blow me out of the water!
I know right? Everyone should have at least a little bit of Pooh!
I didn’t draw, I cheated :p I used a cookie cutter although cutting out the seaweed took a bit of time
Very cute! Love all the colors in your lunch!
Thank you so much ^.^
That’s so creative! Thank you for sharing
Thank you and you’re welcome
Yay for vegetarian Pooh! That new cutter of yours is bigger than I thought…very, very cool. I am curious about this meatless mince of which you speak?
Do you know if it’s like our soy “crumbles” in the US?
Yeah it is quite large but it was a lot cheaper than buying 6 separate cutters, and I lose stuff all the time so less likely to lose it haha.
I’m not too sure unfortunately, it’s made of some kind of fungus I believe. It’s a lot tastier than actual mince and has a lot less fat in it too
Sometimes bigger is better. Thanks for the info on the mince…I’d never heard of it before.
Haha indeed.
Not a problem
I’ll let you know if I find any other similar products
Super cute Pooh and the bento looks so yummy!
Thank you ^.^
lovely! I can totally see the tree
Aww thank you, I wasn’t sure if it was easily identifiable
Yum Yum!!!!
Thank you ^.^
love your Pooh!
you did a fantastic job, and I love the rest of your vegetarian lunch too – looks so colorful and yummy!
Thank you so much! If I find other meatless products that taste that good I might end up a vegetarian!
Cute one!!
Thank you ^.^
Well done, except your cheesy Pooh looks too friendly to eat!
Thank you ^.^ I was so scared he wasn’t going to work! The first one I tried his ears fell off
Cute bentos seem to usually take a ton of work. But this? This looks human, and completely do-able! I`m going to try it out!
Thank you, that’s such a great compliment! Let me know when you’ve done it, I’d love to see!
Love your happy Pooh bear. Nice lunch!
